A careful note, this beta release requires Ubuntu Linux to build and run. If you require a hosting provider, there are several easy to use cloud hosting solutions via DigitalOcean (digitalocean.com) or Amazon Web Services (aws.amazon.com) that can provide an Ubuntu instance for you to build and run Mastercore. (We recommend more than 1GB RAM to build successfully.)
The Master Protocol facilitates the creation and trading of smart properties and user currencies as well as other types of smart contracts. Mastercoins serve as the binding between bitcoins (BTC), smart properties and smart contracts created on top of the Mastercoin Protocol.
Mastercoin enables Bitcoin eco-system service providers to function in decentralized and p2p mode. Adoption of the Master Protocol will drive higher value economic transactions on the Bitcoin blockchain, which is good for Bitcoin miners and savers.
